I am super excited to share some big news: the Oxford International Data Literacy Skills course is now live and available for ordering to schools all over the world.
After months of collaboration, writing, development and refining with the wonderful team at OUP, Karen Morrison and I have finally launched a 9-level course (Year 1 through Year 9) that can genuinely transform the way students develop data literacy. Whether you’re working with students who love numbers or those who think data is just “not their thing,” this course meets them where they are—and takes them a whole lot further.
Why data literacy? Why now?
We live in a world overflowing with information. From social media infographics to global news headlines, our students are constantly interpreting data—even if they don’t realise it. But being exposed to data isn’t the same as understanding it.
That’s where this course comes in. The Oxford International Data Literacy Skills course is designed to give learners the confidence, critical thinking skills, and real-world tools they need to decode, question, and communicate data with clarity and purpose. As students work through the activities, they will begin to recognise patterns, ask fruitful questions, and learn how to make sense of the data-saturated world around them.
