In December 2022 I got an excited call from Hodder in Jamaica to say that my maths books had been approved for use in Jamaican Primary Schools. Since then I have followed with keen interest the activities of the Ministry of Education and Youth in Jamaica. They have a very active Instagram account with frequent updates about their programs and campaigns to improve education for all in Jamaica, such as the TREND (Transforming Education for National Development) campaign and a variety of programmes aimed to support literacy, numeracy and creative problem solving skills. The energy and vision of Minister Fayval Shirley Williams is so inspiring. I’m delighted to have my books used widely in Jamaican schools!
